Hampton Quarter / Victoria< Back to Portfolio
epc.Pacific was chosen by the Victorian State Government as their private sector development and delivery partner. Our role is to vision and resolve a masterplan, achieve planning approval and ultimately fund, develop and deliver this significant and highly sensitive Melbourne bayside land holding. The project will be an exemplar transport orientated development, delivering a sympathetic and respectful mixed-use urban re-generation of the 7,000sqm land holding adjoining the Hampton Train Station.
The project comprises four bespoke buildings over a common podium, scaling from three to seven levels. With a large number of the residences enjoying bay views, each building also boasts exclusive sky gardens with views across the bay to the CBD for every resident to enjoy. Each building is individually designed to provide a unique “Hampton” identity that is inspired by the Bayside seascape and the active and energetic lifestyle its residents enjoy. Typically, each building has approximately 40 residences, providing resident connection and floor by floor neighbourhoods at a small to mid-scale, avoiding the pitfalls of high density inner city living, yet offering all the amenity benefits of inner city connection and accessibility.
At ground level, high quality public realm will be delivered with retail and commercial tenancies activating a new station forecourt and streetscape. The project will also provide a significant net community benefit through an expansion of the commuter car parking, a significant investment towards upgrading Hampton Station, a new bus interchange and a new depth of housing diversity and affordability with the aim of creating a genuine community connection for all residents.
